GUIDE RAILS

We use precision guide rails & bearing blocks throughout our entire range. These guide rails help assist the driving system fluidly move each machine axis. This comes in both 15mm & 20mm width, depending on machine model.

DRIVING SYSTEM

Two types of driving systems are used to provide axis motion within our cnc systems.

Ball screw drive system – Accuracy is improved while travel speed is limited. Axes can achieve speeds of up to 8000mm per minute with a positional accuracy of +/- 0.05mm.

Rack & pinion drive system – Speed is afforded at the minor cost of accuracy. Axes can achieve speeds of up to 16 000mm per minute, with a positional accuracy of +/- 0.1mm.

Depending on the nature of work you require to do, both systems have their individual benefits.

*Our cnc plasma range only uses a rack & pinion drive system as the plasma cutter will not benefit from the accuracy of a ball screw drive system.

MOTION & SYSTEM CONTROL

For more smooth and fluid machine axis movement, we have chosen a dedicated motion control logic board which is responsible for all system & machine control.

We only use high quality, high powered stepper drive systems (which uses micro stepping for more precision & accuracy) to drive our stepper motors.

Our cnc units use accurate proximity sensors for machine referencing, which allows for precise position retrieval after a power shut-down or loss.

Included with every cnc machine is a dual homing system, which is automatically squares the X-Axis gantry perpendicular to the Y-Axis.

As for control software, the machine is equipped with a DDCSV 3.1V motion controller machine control. We do provide an entry level CAD CAM software with our cnc packages to get you started.
